LONGCHAMP JOINS FORCES WITH NEOLINE TO

PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE MARITIME TRANSPORT

In line with its commitment to environmental responsibility, Longchamp has announced its partnership with Neoline, a pioneer in wind-powered

maritime transport solutions. By becoming one of its first shipping customers, Longchamp is taking another step towards cleaner logistics in line

with its sustainable development strategy.

A NEW ERA OF TRANSATLANTIC SHIPMENTS

From September 2025, Longchamp will consign a significant portion of

its transatlantic shipments to the Neoliner Origin, the first wind-

powered, roll-on roll-off cargo ship developed by Neoline. Measuring

136 metres in length, this innovative vessel, launched last January in

Turkey, is equipped with nearly 3,000 m² of SolidSails sails and foldable

carbon masts. Thanks to this cutting-edge technology, the Neoliner

Origin will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 80%

compared to conventional shipping solutions, while ensuring transport

capacity in line with international standards. Adrien Cassegrain, Head of

Transformation and CSR at Longchamp, points out:

“This partnership with Neoline constitutes a major

milestone for Longchamp. It will enable us to adopt a

more environmentally-friendly mode of transport in line

with our sustainability commitments."

CHARTING A COURSE TOWARD

DECARBONISED MARITIME

TRANSPORT

Since 2021, Longchamp has been working with Neoline to develop its maritime

logistics. Once the Neoliner is in service, 25% of container traffic between

France and the United States will be handled by this wind-powered sailing ship,

gradually increasing to 50% when a second cargo ship joins the fleet. Cargo will

be shipped from the port of Saint-Nazaire thus contributing to a greater

regionalisation of our logistics flows, which will also reduce land transport

requirements.

Powered mainly by wind and backed up by an auxiliary diesel-electric engine, the

Neoliner Origin uses up to five times less energy than a conventional cargo ship.

It is able to transport a wide variety of goods (containers, roll-on/roll-off freight,

oversized and refrigerated cargo) thanks to its secure horizontal loading system.

Its maiden voyage will connect Saint-Nazaire in France to Baltimore in the United

States — a strategic area with high commercial demand — with scheduled ports

of call in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and Halifax in Canada. Jean Zanuttini, CEO of

Neoline, explains: “The wind is an infinitely renewable source of energy. Thanks

to energy efficiency and clean propulsion, we can offer a reliable and high-

performance alternative to traditional transport models.

Through this partnership, Longchamp is taking part in a maritime revolution, as well as aligning its actions with a philosophy of sustainability, performance and

innovation. By partnering with Neoline, Longchamp has opted for a wind-powered maritime transport solution, which is more sustainable than traditional logistics

channels. A conscious decision that challenges industry standards and strengthens our CSR trajectory. Jérémie Nountchongoue, Head of Transport and Import-

Export, sums up:

"This initiative is a real opportunity to reduce our carbon

footprint and support regionalisation. It is a logistical choice, but

above all it is a firm commitment to sustainable innovation.”

REDUCING PHYSICAL FOOTPRINT

Longchamp is committed to optimizing its energy use, transportation, and logistics to reduce its environmental impact. To limit its carbon footprint, the Maison is

localizing production, reducing air freight, and prioritizing sea transport.
